Lake Washington Players

Our community musical theater team was started in 2013.  Since then, over 200 adults, teens and kids have participated in our shows. Our team is all volunteer, from the Directors, to the Stage hands, and everyone in between.

The Gondoliers

A musical comedy by Gilbert and Sullivan
Auditions Sunday, 2/27 at 3 p.m. at KAMP

Bring a one minute monologue and a song to sing.  You can bring

sheet music or your phone!  We encourage everyone to audition just for the experience of doing so.  Everyone gets a role-- it's a very low pressure situation.

This show includes leads for:

Two male tenors ages 18-35

Two female sopranos ages 18-35

Several other male and female leads to play the gondoliers and the contadine (the Venetian girls with flowers who woo the lovers)

Female lead older teen, soprano

Male lead older teen, baritone

Male lead ages 35-60, bass

All ages ensemble to play the Venetians

There is a LOT of dancing in this show and tons of singing because it's an operetta.  Join us no matter what your experience level or expertise.

Looking for other ways to help? Volunteer to help our costume and sets team. Seamstresses needed!  Design artists!  Props masters!  Makeup and Hair Artists!

2021 Production Team: Lisa Granat,  Director; Kelsee Herrick, Stage Manager; Sue Heale, Costumer and Musician; Joshua Sibley, Musical Director

Since 2013, Sue Heale and Joshua Sibley have composed several full length musicals that have been performed at KAMP.  They are currently publishing these shows and 11 summer camp musicals.  Sue's camp/school shows are now being produced by local private schools to perfect them and ready them for publication.

All of our actors and musicians are amateurs!   We find a role for every person who auditions and we are proud to be the only musical theater troupe that allows entire families to perform together in the same show!  Many of our participants return season after season.  We typically do 2 shows per year-- one in the holiday season and one in the Spring.
